On Saturday, the DOH added 4,088 cases to it’s Statewide totals as Pennsylvania pushed past 890,000 cases since the start of the Pandemic. 87% of those cases are now considered to be recovered. 113 more COVID-19 related deaths were reported by the Commonwealth, bringing the death toll to 23,072. 2,452 people are currently hospitalized with COVID-19 in PA. Of those patients, 489 are in the Intensive Care Unit.
233 new cases were reported in our viewing area. Centre reported an increase of 81 new cases, Cambria reported 45, Blair reported 38, Clearfield reported 24, Somerset reported 14. Elk reported 10, Jefferson reported 8, Bedford reported 7 and Huntingdon reported 6 new cases. No new cases were reported in Cameron County.
There were three COVID-19 deaths reported in our viewing area. Cambria, Centre and Huntingdon each reported one more death.
