COVID-19 Update November 7th

On Saturday, Pennsylvania set a new record in one day Coronavirus case counts with more than 4,000 new cases reported by the Department of Health. The Department of Health added 4,035 Coronavirus cases to it’s Statewide totals, pushing the State’s tally closer to 230,000. 40 more reported Coronavirus related deaths in PA brings the Death Toll to 9,015. The seven day average in cases jumped significantly, up to 2,851. The recovery rate has dropped again, now down to 74%.

353 new cases were reported in our viewing area. Centre reported an increase of 105 new cases, Cambria 79, Blair 45, Bedford 30, Somerset reported 28, Huntingdon reported 20, Clearfield 18, Jefferson 16, and Elk had 12 new cases.

In addition, 8 more deaths were also reported in our viewing area. Huntingdon reported 5 additional deaths. Blair, Cambria, and Centre Counties each reported 1 new death.
