Day Three Of New York Homicide Suspect

The first direct links between Luigi Mangione and the killing of United Healthcare CEO Brian Thompson in New York last week are being released.

Brock Owens has the details being shared by New York Police and the latest word from Mangione’s defense attorney

As investigators look to build a case against Luigi Mangione police say finger prints and shell casings found at the scene of Thompson’s killing are being tracked back to Mangione.

That’s according to New York Police Department Police Commissioner Jessica Tisch who says the shell casings found at the scene in Manhattan match the ghost gun found with Mangione at the Altoona McDonald’s.

I have not been able to reach the Altoona Police Department and Blair County District Attorney Pete Weeks Today to answer some additional questions about the case.

I did briefly speak with Mangione’s Defense Attorney Thomas Dickey Today who tells me he has not spoken to Mangione Today but does plan to soon and he will need to review the newest reported evidence himself.

He said last night he has not seen any evidence that would prove Mangione is the shooter.

But NYPD says there is also other evidence

Mangione is pleading not guilty to charges in Blair County including a felony illegal possession of a weapon charge.

Dickey says he anticipated Mangione would also plead not guilty to second degree murder in New York.
