Addtional steps are also being taken in state prisons to keep the incarcerated population protected against COVID-19.
This will also begin on August 9th.
Inmates will be assigned housing units based on their vaccination status.
In person visitation will also be suspended until further notice for the unvaccinated inmate population only.
Officials with the DOC say these efforts will protect the unvaccinated group by reducing contact with others.
