DOH COVID-19 Update

According to the Department of Health’s hospital dashboard, 2,553 people are hospitalized with the virus across Pennsylvania, and 633 are in the Intensive Care Unit.

Most of the patients hospitalized are ages 65 or older, and most of the deaths have occurred in patients 65 or older.

There have been 89,553 confirmed cases in our 10-county viewing area since the start of the pandemic, according to the Department of Health, and 1,899 deaths.

There were 404 new cases reported locally.

Three deaths were reported in our region: two in Clearfield County and one in Elk County.

Cambria County continued to have the highest new case numbers with 69.

Blair reported 67, Centre and Somerset both reported 58 and Bedford reported 41.

Clearfield County had 37, Jefferson had 32, Elk had 23, Huntingdon had 18 and Cameron had one.
