According to the Department of Health’s hospital dashboard, 2,641 people are hospitalized with the virus across Pennsylvania, and 662 are in the Intensive Care Unit.
Most of the patients hospitalized are ages 65 or older, and most of the deaths have occurred in patients 65 or older.
There have been 90,022 confirmed cases in our 10-county viewing area since the start of the pandemic, according to the Department of Health, and 1,901 deaths.
There were 469 new cases reported in our region.
Two more local deaths were reported, one each in Bedford and Clearfield counties.
Cambria reported 93 more cases, Centre reported 73, Blair added 71, Bedford added 64 and Somerset reported 46.
Meanwhile, Huntingdon reported 40, Clearfield reported 38, Elk reported 21, Jefferson reported 15 and Cameron reported eight.
