DOH COVID-19 Update

The Pennsylvania Department of Health confirmed an additional 2,251 Coronavirus cases in the state Sunday, bringing the statewide total to 163,535 throughout all 67 counties.

No update was provided Saturday due to a “delay,” according to the health department.

Eighty-two percent of the state’s total cases are considered to be recovered.

There have been 5,933 confirmed cases in our viewing area since the start of the pandemic, according to the Department of Health, and 63 total deaths.

Two-hundred fifty-five new cases were reported in our viewing area since Friday.

Centre reported 170 additional cases, Blair reported 38, Huntingdon and Cambria each reported 13, Bedford reported 9, Somerset reported 7, Clearfield reported 3 and Elk and Jefferson each reported 1 new case.

State health officials reported 37 more Coronavirus-related deaths, bringing Pennsylvania’s death toll to 8,216.

Blair County reported an additional death.
