DOH COVID-19 Update

The Pennsylvania Department of Health confirmed an additional 2,254 Coronavirus cases in the state Monday, bringing the statewide total to 173,304 throughout all 67 counties.

State health officials reported 24 more Coronavirus-related deaths over the past two days, bringing Pennsylvania’s death toll to 8,368 .

Eighty-one percent of the state’s total cases are considered to be recovered.

The health department no longer releases reports on Sunday, so Monday’s count is a two-day total.

There have been 6,915 confirmed cases in our viewing area since the start of the pandemic, according to the Department of Health, and 70 total deaths.

Two hundred and fifty-six new cases were reported in our viewing area Monday.

Centre reported an increase of 112 new cases, Blair reported 47, Huntingdon reported 46, Bedford reported 8, Cambria reported 10, Jefferson reported 6, Clearfield reported 5 and Elk County reported 3.
