The Pennsylvania Department of Health confirmed an additional 1,425 Coronavirus cases in the state Wednesday, bringing the statewide total to 186,297 throughout all 67 counties.
State health officials reported 29 more Coronavirus-related deaths over the past two days, bringing Pennsylvania’s death toll to 8,562.
Seventy-nine percent of the state’s total cases are considered to be recovered.
There have been 7,913 confirmed cases in our viewing area since the start of the pandemic, according to the Department of Health, and 74 total deaths.
Blair County reported another death Wednesday.
One hundred and twenty-eight new cases were reported in our viewing area.
Huntingdon County reported 43 new cases, Centre County reported 34 new cases and Blair County reported 19 new cases.
Elk County reported 11 more cases, Clearfield County reported seven more cases and Bedford County reported six.
Meanwhile, Somerset County reported three new cases.
According to the Department of Health, 2,167,536 patients have tested negative for the virus.
The number of tests administered within the last 7 days between October 14 and October 20 is 225,406 with 10,226 positive cases. There were 25,152 test results reported to the department through 10 p.m., October 20.
