With St. Patrick’s day just a week away law enforcement professional were touching up their skills and learning more about Drugged Driving.
Courses were held for officers from local police departments to learn about spotting impairment.
DUI program administrators taught officers how drugs affect the way eyes react as well as speech and movement.
Craig Amos a DUI Administrator tells us even prescription medications can cause drivers to become impaired.
Amos says it’s not about putting people in jail. Rather getting them help if on illegal drugs and educating those who get new prescription medications.
