It’s in Dubois in Sandy Township, cast their vote on a potential merger tonight. This was after a public presentation was held last month on an independent study on the effects of a Dubois Sandy Township consolidation. On August 24th, the Clearfield County Board of Elections officially approved the question for this ballot in the city and in the township
. We asked two residents for their thoughts just after they submitted their ballots.
“Well, we’re talking about 40 years and this was the talk then when we moved and just started paying a lot of attention to that. And I have friends in Sandy.I have friends and Dubois voice and I I just think it’s going to be good for us all the way around.”
“I don’t think consolidation is a good idea. I don’t think it’s ever been a good idea. And I don’t think that it’s going to benefit anyone other than a select few people who have been pushing this
through and helping doing things that if they were really looked at hard, probably would not be legal.”
