Tomorrow Downtown DuBois incorporated will host it’s first ever Springfest in the heart of DuBois.
Linda Crandal, President of Downtown DuBois Inc., said they started planning for Springfest in the winter.
With all events going virtual, she said May was the perfect time to have an outdoor community event.
From food trucks to entertainment, this is a sense of normalcy she said this community needs.
“I’m hoping that it brings people out and it just makes you feel like it’s a spring day and you can go about your business do whatever you want to do and actually have fun in Downtown DuBois,” said Crandal.
With local businesses hit hard by the pandemic, Crandal hopes this festival can provide them with some sort of economic relief.
“It certainly will help those people who are participating people with crafts that haven’t been able to go anywhere. Food vendors, food trucks that need to be out to events,” she said.
She also said precautions will be in place to prevent the spread of the virus, “We will make sure all of our vendors are lined up and spaced out on Long Avenue. We have enough space to make sure the lines allow for social distancing.”
Crandal also thanked the city of DuBois for making this event happen.
