Dubois Stabbing

Just before 5:30 Sunday night, authorities were called to W. Washington Avenue in DuBois for an assault.

When officers arrived on scene, they found a man with stab wounds to the chest and hand.

“An ex boyfriend had showed up on the scene that had a PFA against him, him and another individual came in the house via the backdoor a struggle ensued which resulted in the victim, resident at the house being stabbed,” said Blaine Clark, Chief of DuBois City Police.

Chief Clark said two men came into the woman’s home to confront her and her boyfriend.

“The original PFA was for violence with the female that was on that scene at that time and yes he’s facing charges similar to the other individual,” he said.

Chief Clark said the two suspects were later found at area hospitals with stab wounds.

One of the suspects who had life threatening stab wounds to the chest and neck is now in stable condition.

The victim is also in stable condition.

Both suspects could potentially face aggravated assault and burglary charges.

“At this point we do have arrest warrants for him and when he’s able to be released he will be brought back here for court,”
