Pittsburgh Steelers Back-up Quarterback Dwayne Haskins was killed in Florida this weekend. The Florida Highway Patrol says he was hit by a dump truck on the Interstate. Investigators don’t know why the 24-year-old was walking on I-595 near the Fort Lauderdale Airport just before 7am Saturday morning. Haskins had been in the area training with Steelers teammates at the time.
Head Coach Mike Tomlin releasing a statement following Haskins’ Death, saying: “I am devastated and at a loss for words with the unfortunate passing of Dwayne Haskins. Dwayne was a great teammate, but even more so a tremendous friend to so many. I am truly heartbroken.”
