Eagles Switch Quarterbacks

A change was made in Philadelphia Yesterday. Eagles Head Coach Doug Pederson decided to bench Carson Wentz and put in backup Jalen Hurts on Sunday versus New Orleans in a move he hopes sparks the offense.

The Eagles are ranked near the very bottom of the league when it comes to offensive production. And Wentz has been a big key to that throwing 15 interceptions. Hurts came in relief this past Sunday against Green Bay and sparked a comeback.

Hurts is in his rookie season and has quite the college resume leading both Alabama and Oklahoma to the college football playoff. Pederson says his team is still in the hunt for the division title. And he wants to do what he does best.

“I can think about when I played, they said don’t go be Brett Farve, be Doug Pederson. That’s my message to him. Be Jalen Hurts and do the things that he can do. I think from an offensive prospective, just run the show. Run it how he sees it. We’ll coach him up throughout the week and get him prepared.”

Kickoff with the Saints will be at 4:25…
