Econo Lodge Robbery Arrests

Two people have been arrested in connection to the armed robbery at the Econo Lodge in Centre County earlier this month.

According to state police, on Jan. 9, Tre Estes-Stalnos approached the victim at the Benner Township motel and brandished a handgun threatening to kill the victim.

On Jan. 29, officers say they conducted a traffic stop on Estes-Stalnos and Skylar Brown where they found items directly related to the robbery.

They say further investigation revealed both Estes-Stalnos and Brown were involved in the robbery.

Investigators say they found Estes-Stalnos is the one responsible for a string of robberies over the past two months.

They say he burglarized Rite Aid and several stores at the Nittany Mall too.

For both burglaries, they say Estes-Stalnos had a gun and fired it at the doors so he could get in.

Authorities say he was taken into custody on Saturday and charged with burglary, criminal trespass, criminal mischief causing more than $4,000 in damages to the businesses, theft by unlawful taking, stealing 4,690 worth of merchandise and medications and persons not to possess a firearm.

Both Estes-Stalnos and Brown are in the Centre County Correctional Facility.
