One person is dead and another injured after a morning crash in Huntingdon County Monday, state police say.
Troopers say two jeeps collided on Raystown Road around 6 a.m. at the intersection of Hartslog Valley Road in Walker Township.
According to a crash report, the first jeep was traveling north on Raystown Road and then swerved into the opposing lane to avoid a vehicle that was stopped ahead of it as it was waiting to make a left-hand turn onto Hartslog Valley Road.
Troopers say the jeep crashed into another jeep that was traveling in the opposite direction.
The driver of the second jeep, identified as 27-year-old Courtlin Holland, was extricated from the vehicle and taken to Penn Highlands hospital where she was pronounced dead, state police say.
Holland’s passenger was taken to UPMC Altoona, but troopers didn’t immediately know the extent of his injuries.
Troopers say both victims were wearing seatbelts.
They say the driver of the first jeep was unharmed.
Huntingdon Regional Fire and Rescue and Markelsburg EMS responded.
