Logan Twp. police confirm one person was killed and another was seriously injured following a crash Wednesday in Altoona.
Police say around 12:45 pm they were dispatched to a multi-vehicle accident near the I-99 off ramp.
Upon arriving at the scene and investigating, they say a vehicle was heading west on 17th street and went over the median, striking an eastbound vehicle.
One person was killed and another suffered what police describe as a “serious injury.”
Police identified the deceased victim as 67-year-old Diane DeRose, of East Freedom.
The condition of the other victim is not known.
