A member of the Geico Sky Typers air show team died today when his plane crashed.
Pilot Andy Travnicek was the only person on board the aircraft when it went down after departing Wilkesbarre/Scranton airport.
No one on the ground was hurt.
Travnicek was a military veteran who served in Afghanistan, as well as Spain and Qatar.
The FAA and the National Transportation Safety Board are investigating the crash.
