Former president Donald Trump will reportedly not be attending this Saturday’s marquee match-up at Beaver Stadium between Penn State and Ohio State.
Last week, reports emerged that the former president and his campaign were “making plans” to attend the game between the Nittany Lions and the Buckeyes.
Now, according to a statement from the university, Trump is reportedly not expected to attend Saturday’s game.
“The University has been notified that former President Donald Trump will no longer be attending the Ohio State-Penn State football game.”
The University previously stated that Trump had reportedly been invited to the game by a “private citizen.”
Trump is reportedly now planning to hold a campaign rally in Salem, Virginia Saturday afternoon, according to his campaign website.
Kickoff of Saturday’s game is scheduled for noon, with the game to be televised on Fox.
