A former Penn State administrator is now behind bars after pleading guilty to an assault charge Monday morning in Centre County court.
Keith Brautigam was accused of strangling a woman during an argument last October.
On Monday, after pleading guilty to two criminal counts, Brautigam was sentenced to three months to twenty-three-and-a-half months in jail.
He declined a pre-sentence investigation and instead agreed to immediately begin his sentence.
At the time of his arrest, Brautigam was serving as a chief information officer, and Interim Vice President for Information Technology at Penn State.
He is no longer employed by the University.
