Former Washington St. Coach Sues

The Former Washington State Cougars Football Coach is filing a lawsuit against the University after he was fired last week. Nick Rolovich is suing over Unjust and Unlawful Termination after failing to comply with the State’s COVID-19 Vaccine Mandate that required all State Employees to be vaccinated by this past Monday.

His Attorney says that the Termination came after his request for a Religious Exemption from the vaccine was denied by the University. The Attorney also alleging the Athletic Director was also going to fire the Coach in the Spring.

Rolovich was named the 33rd Head Football Coach for the WSU Program in January of 2020, and he was the highest paid Employee in the State. His Salary was $3.2 Million. Four other Assistant Coaches were also let go for not complying.

Washington State will play its first Game at Home without the Head Coach on Saturday against the BYU Cuagars.
