Many educators say some students have been falling through the cracks as COVID-19 has taken an educational toll on children.
That’s why regional partners & school providers in Cambria County are teaming up to offer free tutoring for students.
The growth of this partnership was announced just a few hours ago at the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown
Which is recruting their education majors to be tutors for the program.
This is a collaboration between the Greater Johnstown School District, Learning Lamp, Flood City Youth Fitness Academy, Cambria County Drug and Alcohol Program
Along with a $20,000 grant from PNC Charitable Trusts & a $10,000 grant from the AT&tT Foundation.
To date the tutors have delivered a combined 781 hours of one on one tutoring to 156 children in grades K-12 at Flood City.
