Groundhog Day

We’ve been out here at Gobbler’s Knob all morning to see Punxsutawney Phil and he eventually did make his prediction he saw his shadow which means we will have six more weeks of winter.

And as you can see here behind me there is such a crowd here today it’s even been dwindling down in the last couple of minutes.

The President of the organization said that this was the largest mid-week crowd that he thinks they have seen in the history of Groundhog Day.

The second day of the second month of 2022 at 2:22 in the morning was the perfect time for a wedding

For Karl and Alexandra Arbogast who came to Gobbler’s Knob all the way from Tennessee to get married on Groundhog Day.

“We got up here, looked around, and absolutley loved it. Everyone’s been amazing. We said, yeah, we’re coming here. All of our guests – when we threw out this is where we want to do it
everyone of them were like, yep, we’re in, we’re on our way. This was amazing, and you’re never going to forget it.”

And they weren’t even the only wedding Today

There was even another wedding around 5:30 this morning in front of the entire crowd.

As the morning went on and the sun began to rise the inner circle began to wake up Punxsutawney Phil

Who did, in fact, see his shadow

“Six more weeks of winter”

People from all over the United States and even all over the World came to join in on the Pennsylvania themed fun.

Proved that hundreds of people can have fun even at three in the morning

“It’s very energetic. Very vibrant. Lots of great people, and wonderful people. People that come as west as Montana and eastern as Georgia. A lot of people just want to have a good time
and celebrate.”

And while it’s the groundhog everybody comes to see it’s the people who make it all worth it.

“It’s been amazing. The people couldn’t be nicer, and we absolutley loved the experience.”
