A ribbon cutting was held today for a business in Bedford County, Horizon Behavioral Health had its official opening today, even though they’ve been in business since last year.
They offer outpatient services, including services for couples and families in in-person or through telehealth.
They started with telehealth during the time of COVID restrictions until their new office space was ready.
And right now, they’re in the process of getting their drug and alcohol facility designation. Organizers say they will also have a psychiatrist coming on board.
Soon, they’ll be able to offer medication management for behavioral health and substance abuse issues.
“They actually plateaued a couple of years prior to COVID, and then with the onset of COVID limited services, people weren’t able to access their supports the way they normally did.
Unfortunately, in 2020, we saw a huge increase. And it appears that that trend has continued in 2021.”
The building is located at 16 Water Street in Everett.
