Superintendent Fred Foster for the Huntingdon Area School District says there are 2 positive Coronavirus cases at Southside Elementary School in Walker Township.
He says the two have not been in the school since Tuesday and that 13 people who were in close contact are also participating in quarantining.
School officials say the middle and high school have returned to in person learning.
“If you’re identified as a close contact, and a household close contact, someone that tested positive, that could impact your learning here for up to twenty four days. So, we’re working on getting
that information out as well because every scenario comes with another sense of complex what ifs. We’re trying to keep it simple for two or three, but it’s not simple.”
School officials say the middle and high school buildings were thoroughly cleaned and sanitized during the remote learning days.
