A portion of land next to the incline plane has been donated to the Conemaugh Valley Conservancy, about nine acres of land along the incline plane hillside was donated to that organization. It was donated by George Griffith, who was the retired owner of the Flower Barn and Garden Center.
The donated land was part of the original Flower Barn. Organizers say over the next few years, trails will be developed to allow for walking and mountain biking on the property.
