L.A. Police Ambushed

A massive Manhunt is underway after a violent ambush in Los Angeles that sent two Deputies to the Hospital. The man accused of shooting the two L.A. County Sheriff’s Deputies is still on the run. Meanwhile, we’re learning more about the two Deputies fighting for their lives.

The violent scene caught on camera Saturday night. Two Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Deputies were shot and critically injured in what authorities are calling an ambush. Officials say the incident happened near a Metro Station in Compton. Video of the incident appears to show a man walking up to the Deputies’ car and then firing several shots before running away. Authorities say both Deputies are in the Hospital fighting for their lives.

Their names have not been released, but Authorities say one Deputy is a 31-year-old Mother. The second is a 24-year-old man. Both were reportedly sworn into their duties 14 months ago. Overnight at the Hospital, where the deputies were transported, a crowd was heard chanting anti-Law Enforcement slogans. Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti says the City is united in denouncing that type of behavior.

On Sunday, Deputies blocked off streets in the area searching for the suspect.
