Local Business and Barstool Fund

A local business is donating to the Barstool Fund, which helps support businesses affected by COVID. McLanahans is donating a portion of purchases of select t-shirts to the Barstool Fund to help fellow local businesses survive the Pandemic. Local businesses are hurting all over the Country, with many succumbing to financial pressures caused by the Coronavirus. Dave Portnoy, the Founder of Barstool Sports, created the Barstool Fund at the end of 2020 to assist small businesses across the U.S. through the trying times. McLanahans, a staple in the State College Community, and a local business itself, is helping to support the fund.

Stephen Solamine is the General Manager of McLanahans, and said Barstool hit a home run with this fund. The store is selling two t-shirts, a Meatball Monday tee being one of them. The sales are online and will be in-store in February. Five dollars from the sale of each shirt goes to the fund, while some stays in Happy Valley to specifically assist local businesses in the area.

Online orders will ship on February 5th. Find more information at for McLanahan’s at
