Two School Districts in our area will be moving to online classes this week following positive Coronavirus tests. Conemaugh Valley School District is dealing with another Coronavirus case, their second according to District Officials. The District says other Students have been tested and are awaiting results. Several Students are in quarantine following the positive case, having been exposed. Conemaugh Valley School District will be moving to virtual classes for the entirety of this week. District Officials say they will assess the situation and make any further decisions later in the week.
The Rockwood Area School District is moving to virtual learning this week after three Students tested positive over the weekend. Superintendent Mark Bower say that individuals who have been in close contact will be quarantining for 14 days and will not return to School District buildings until they recover.
A Personal Care Home in Bedford is dealing with a Coronavirus outbreak. The CEO of Colonial Courtyard at Bedford tells us 27 residents and 8 employees have now tested positive for COVID-19. The first positive case in the facility was reported last Sunday. We’re told only three people are experiencing symptoms at this time. The CEO says that staff are keeping in touch with residents and their families. He appreciates the staff working hard to contain the outbreak. We will keep you updated on this developing story.
