One person has been taken to Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center after a man fell into a hole that was filled with water and became stuck in the mud.
Officials say the man was working on a water line replacement project along Jackson Avenue when the incident happened.
The incident led to him becoming stuck in mud 4 inches above his waist.
Officials say the man quickly lost feeling in his legs and it took about 40 minutes to get the man out of the hole.
Windber and Richland Fire Departments and Northern EMS responded to the scene.
