In Centre County on Saturday, a local group worked to help Churches in their community. The Milesburg Museum and Historical Society presented checks for $500 dollars to three Churches in the Borough for their ongoing efforts to help those in need. All of the Churches receiving donations have Food Banks for those in need throughout Milesburg and surrounding areas.
The Historical Society says this is what “Small Town America” is all about. Pastor Jeffrey Trawinski of Milesburg Baptist Church saying: “We are truly grateful. When you go to the family’s house to deliver the food, some of the food we deliver, they are very appreciative and we are glad this community has something like that and we appreciate being a part of it.”
The Historical Society Members hope to continue fundraising efforts throughout the year and during the annual “Community Day” weekends.
