Speaking of decorated Christmas trees, a local woman decorated one at a local church in memory of her son inside the Our Lady of Mount Carmel in Altoona. You can see the tree.
Marianne Sinisi put up. She’s the founder of the Families United for Change. It’s a group whose mission is to provide assistance to those battling addiction and change the public
perception of substance abuse disorder.
She hopes the tree will be a way to help provide comfort for people facing a personal loss during the holidays and as a way to spread awareness for addiction.
People can stop by to look at the tree or make a donation to help the organization during regularly scheduled mass times.
