There was a ribbon cutting and grand opening for the Nanty-Glo fire department today. It was hosted by the Cambria Regional Chamber of Commerce.
The fire department had recently completed renovations on an event and banquet facility. The their aim was to create a space to host meetings, conferences, weddings and small parties.
Previously, the event banquet facility was held at the community center. A plaque was presented to the department from the Chamber of Commerce at the ceremony.
“Our social hasn’t been upgraded in this way ever since it was built in 1939. There’s been some fixes and stuff to it and some upgrades, but never a complete overhaul ”
