New York Homicide Suspect Update

The latest update as investigators continue to gather evidence in the murder of United Healthcare CEO Brian Thompson.

According to a senior law enforcement official, fingerprints taken from suspect Luigi Mangione match some prints that were found near the New York City crime scene.

Police sources tell us the print was found on a water bottle that was left at the scene.

Police previously said that the suspected gunman had visited a Starbucks before the shooting and purchased a water bottle and two protein bars.

Deputies recovered a video showing where those items were discarded, and both were collected as evidence.

We’re also learning today that before Mangione was arrested at the McDonald’s on East Plank Road in Altoona he walked into the Horseshoe Curve Lodge in Altoona on Monday looking for a room.

That’s according to ABC News who spoke with the desk clerk who greeted him.

That clerk reportedly noticed what he described as the man’s “shifty behavior.”

“He basically just walked in kind of cagey, just looking around, making sure he wasn’t being watched, asked if he could get a room here”

But that wasn’t the reason Kuklis had to turn Mangione away.

He said they didn’t have a clean room available at that early hour
