After a State Supreme Court ruling looks to have cleared the way for a new Casino in State College, the management company involved confirms plans to move ahead with the project. Bally’s Corporation included a mention of construction for the new Casino at the Nittany Mall in their report issued Thursday on Corporate Second Quarter Finances.
Bally’s is partnering with former Penn State Trustee Ira Lubert of the Casino project. A competing Casino Company filed a Court Suit against them and the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board, and the State Supreme Court recently ruled against the challenge. In the report, Ballys says with the completion of construction of a Casino in Chicago, and the Nittany Mall Casino, they’ll own or manage 16 Casinos in 11 States. Bally’s recently agreed to merge with Queen Casino and Entertainment Incorporated.
Construction and renovation for the Nittany Mall Casino at the former Macys store location is expected to take up to a year. Previously approved plans show the Casino will have 750 slot machines, 30 table games and sports betting along with a restaurant and bar.
