We have new details following yesterday’s hostage situation at the Oakhurst Homes in Johnstown.
Police are identifying the suspect as 24 year old Keyshawn Cooks.
He is facing charges of kidnapping and aggravated assault. Police say he held a woman and her baby hostage for about five hours yesterday afternoon.
They say Cooks eventually surrendered to police after further investigation.
Police say Cooks had warrants out of Cumberland County for vehicular homicide.
He’s being held at the Cambria County Prison on 500,000 dollar bail.
