Penguins Return to Home Ice

It’s been about 4 weeks since the last time the Penguins got to play on their Home ice. On the Road, Pittsburgh went 2-4. Only one of those losses came in Overtime – to Boston. But if that stat line defeats you, how about this one? The Penguins are a perfect 4-0 at Home and they are riding that Win wave from their shoot out victory over the New York Islanders Thursday. In that game, Zach Aston-Reese made his Season debut. The Forward had surgery on his left shoulder in August, but that didn’t slow him down any. He scored his first goal in the Second Period to tie the game up at 2 a piece. Involved on the point was teammate Brandon Tanev who is excited to have the line of Tanev, Blueger, and Aston-Reese back together again. See video for comments from Tanev…

The Penguins will be back in action at Home Sunday against the Washington Capitals. Puck drops at 3. In that East Division, Washington is two points ahead of Pittsburgh.
