Penguins Update

Starting things off on the ice where the Pittsburgh Penguins got back into the win column once again they took care of one of their many rivals in Washington Yesterday Afternoon as they look to continue to rise in the standings.

The Pens jumped out to a big lead over the Capitals saw that lead shrink they broke out late en route to a 6-3 win, that makes it back to back victories and 3 out of their last 5. Pittsburgh made a lot of roster changes in the offseason.

And it looks like they are now starting to gel just a fourth of the way through the season. Head Coach Mike Sullivan knew it was going to take some time to adjust and now that’s paying dividends.

“Sometimes when a player comes to a new team and a new environment, there’s a whole lot of thinking going on early because they try to familiarize themselves with their surroundings as well as the concepts as the team is trying to play. These guys have been here for sometime now. I think they’re getting comfortable with their surroundings. I think they are more familiar with the concepts.”

Up next for the Penguins will be another game with the Capitals at home Tomorrow night at 7.
