Penguins vs. Islanders Game 4

After dropping game one in Overtime, the Penguins have answered every call the Islanders have tried to make. When New York scored 3 Goals in the Third Period Thursday night, Pittsburgh responded with a Goal from Brandon Tanev to take the Game and a 2-1 lead in the Series. On Saturday in Nassau Coliseum, the Islanders came out for vengeance.

This was Game Four in New York. A scoreless First Period so we’ll pick it up in the Second. Josh Bailey scores the first Goal of the game. Kris Letang and Anthony Beauviller were going at it. Letang pushed Beauviller into Jarry and he doesn’t have time to reset for before the shot.

Still in the 2nd, the Isles take command with a 2-0 lead and the Pens have a lot of work to do in the 3rd Period, but New York doesn’t care. They have the 4-on-3 advantage. Teddy Blueger is down low to help but instead directs this puck behind Jarry. Less than 25 seconds later, New York scores again to lead 4-0 with 13 minutes left in the Final Frame.

The Pens finally found some life late in the game. Brian Dumoulin takes the shot and Zach Ashton Reese gets the Goal, but the Pens have struggled against Ilya Sorokin in this Series. He started in the net Game One where the Isles won in Overtime. On Saturday, Sorokin almost had the shut-out. He finished with 29 saves.

The Isles take Game 4 with a final of 4-1.
