Penn State Chickenpox Cases

Three new cases of Chickenpox are being confirmed at a University in Centre County.

Health officials say students and staff that were in Mifflin Hall February 17th through the 24th, or the Thomas Building on February 20th between 1 and 3pm, may have been exposed to the virus.

Individuals who have already had the virus or two doses of the Varicella Vaccine are considered protected.

The University urges those displaying symptoms of Chickenpox to isolate immediately and contact University Health services or their local health provider.
