Tens of thousands of alumni and fans made the trip which was great news for local business.
Nicole, the Chief Operating Officer here at the Family Clothesline talked to me about how important the home football weekends are.
She told me that the store is still restocking their shelves from what was their busiest weekend of the year.
State College was filled with people all weekend long.
There were over 110,00 fans at the football game on Saturday thousands of them walked through downtown to get there.

Their coo talked to me about the level of excitement the people have for the game which leads to them buying Penn State merchandise.
She told me about how important it is for the local businesses downtown to take full advantage of the crowded weekends.
“Those seven home football weekends are a huge economic boost, whether you’re in the hotel industry, the restaurant industry, or you have a retail space down here in Downtown State College. the majority of the businesses downtown rely on those seven home football weekends to really get through the rest of the year.”
A lot of people wil checking out stores like the Family Clothesline downtown again this weekend as Penn State is home again.
