Penn State continues to count down to their opening game of the 2020 season. Expectations as always are at a fever pitch in Happy Valley and one man is wearing them on his shoulders right
And that guy would be Quarterback Sean Clifford. He led the Nittany Lions to an eleven win season in 2019 and the expectation is that he’ll do the same, if not better in 2020.
He threw for over 2600 yards and 23 touchdowns while adding 5 scores on the ground as well. Clifford will now lead a talented offense that has some growing to do in the receiving core. Head Coach James Franklin knows he’s got a guy he can rely on and one who’s experience is going to shine this season.
“Its one expectation for week 1. Its going to be another for week 4. I think you’re going to see a more experienced and more seasoned guy. I think is more confident and more comfortable, even in a adjusted system.”
Opening day will be on October 24th at Indiana.
