Penn State Mens Hockey Update

Starting things off on the ice where the Penn State men are just a couple weeks away from their season opener. This group is looking to build off of last year. A season that was cut short at the wrong time.

The Nittany Lions went 20-10-4 a year ago and were poised to make a big run in the NCAA tournament before COVID-19 canceled the rest of the season. Now that phase one of their Big Ten schedule has been released.

This new team is looking to prove they are one of the best not only in the conference. But in the nation, they lost a lot of leadership from a year ago and head coach Guy Gadowsky hopes his new leaders can fill that void.

The season will start on November 19th at Minnesota.

Speaking of Hockey, a Nittany Lion made the All Big Ten preseason team. Senior Captain Alex Limoges was named to the conference’s 1st team. He had 11 goals and 21 assists in 30 games a season ago. Which was 6th best in the league.

He also became the 9th player in program history to reach the 100 point mark, also in the coaches preseason poll Penn State was picked 7th.
