Penndot has a map showing the condition of all bridges in every county.
In our region there is a decent number of red dots. But Tom Zurat the Penndot District 2 executive tells me things have gotten better in our region.
He says that around 20% of bridges deck areas in our region were ranked poor in 2007.
“3.27% of our deck area, and it’s 8% of our total number of bridges, would be classified as ‘poor’. But you can see what a reduction that has been over the last 15 years.”
