As the snow gets set to fall, Penndot is reminding motorists to stay off roadways if possible.
But if you have to be out, then you are advised to uncover all windows, lights and mirrors that you can see to use your headlights and to leave earlier and travel a safe distance
behind other vehicles.
They also want to remind you to not pile snow at the entrance of your property and not to shovel or plow snow from your driveways into the roadway, according to state law.
Property owners can be held liable for crashes and face several hundred dollars in fines if hazardous conditions are created.
