Today, Pennsylvania leaders from the state’s Coalition Against Rape held a press conference to discuss laws in the favor of justice for victims of sexual violence, and future victims.
The PCAR group fought a hard legislative battle to get these laws passed, and they say it wouldn’t have been possible without partner organizations, the bipartisan support of the legislature, and the governor’s office.
They highlight that the 13 now enacted pieces of legislation are also to help prevent future abuse all the PCAR’s legislative priorities for the 2019-2020 legislative session are now law.
They say these laws will only help to make our communities safer.
Officials say PCAR plans to unveil its new legislative priorities for the 2021-2022 sessions in the near future.
