Pens Back on Winning Streak

Coming off 3 consecutive losses the Pittsburgh Penguins had a huge weekend ahead of them and needed to turn things around quickly.

And they got exactly what the doctor ordered.

The Pens were home on Saturday and turned in a gritty performance against the New York Rangers.

Behind a shutout from Tristan Jarry and a power play goal from Evgeni Malkin the Pens picked up 2 regulation points with a 1-0 win.

Fast forward 24 hours the Pens hit the road for Columbus in a battle with the Blue Jackets last night.

Heading into the third period down 2-1 Evgeni Malkin scored a beautiful power play goal in the third period to tie things up at 2.

Then it was Sidney Crosby who secured the 3-2 win for the Pens

With those two wins the Pens are back to 2nd place in the Metro Division.

They will meet the Lightning in Tampa Bay on Thursday at 7 o’clock.
