Pens / Blue Jackets

The Pittsburgh Penguins turned in a huge performance last night at home in a game that saw the Pens get behind 1-0 after a period

What followed was a complete and utter domination of the Columbus Blue Jackets.

The Penguins scored four goals in the second period to take control 4-1

Evgeni Malkin picked up a power play goal in the third and the Pens cruised 5-1 in a game that featured the debut of Rickard Rickell who was traded from the Ducks to the Pens at the trade deadline

All in all Mike Sullivan was pleased with the effort but there isn’t much time to think about it as the Pens head to Buffalo Tonight.

This is what Sullivan had to say when asked about what he saw from Rickell who finished even in the plus minus didn’t register a point but did have two shots.

Tonight the Pens get the Sabres on the road 7:30 Pm puck drop.
