On the ice the Pittsburgh Penguins ran into a buzz saw last night in the unlikeliest of opponents the Seattle Kraken.
In what was a tightly contested game it looked like the pens were headed to their 18th win in their last 20 games.
Things were a stalemate for two and a half periods until the Penguins got on the power play and that’s when Evgeni Malkin took advantage ripping one home and giving the Pens their first
lead.
All things were pointing towards the Pens grinding out another win but that’s when Seattle won an offensive zone draw.
Puck came to the blue line and a shot was redirected in by former Pittsburgh Penguin Jared McCan.
The game went to OT tied at 1 that’s when the Pens yielded a golden chance to Adam Larsson and he beat Tristan Jarry to seal the 2-1 win.
Although the Pens managed a point Mike Sullivan was none too pleased in his post game press conference.
