Pens Recap

On the ice the Pittsburgh Penguins dropped a spot in the Metro standings Last Night courtesy of their second loss to the Rangers in the last calendar week.

It started out good.

Ben Roethlisberger was in the building.

The crowd was fired up and the Pens came out and got the first goal courtesy of Brian Boyles first period deflection.

But fast forward to the third period Chris Kreider on the power play made it 3 straight tallies for the team from the Big Apple. And it was 3-1.

Sidney Crosby scored on the power play to make it 3-2 and the Pens closed the game with a furious push but could not get the win. Therefore falling out of second in the Metro.

Mike Sullivan spoke with the media Today with time to reflect on it.

The Rangers get a back to back Tonight on the road at Detroit 7:30 puck drop.

They have a game in hand on the Pens which means the Pens need a New York loss.
